Allegheny Surveys, Inc., a regional land surveying firm, is seeking to employ the following positions:

Accounting Coordinator

Allegheny Surveys is seeking to employ a full-time Accounting Coordinator in its Birch River, West Virginia location. Allegheny Surveys, Inc. offers a complete, competitive benefits package, is a drug free workplace and an equal opportunity employer.

Accounting Coordinator’s Primary Function: Financial operations and accounting support with growth toward CFO role.

The Accounting Coordinator duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Accounts Receivable (including invoicing and collections)
  • Accounts Payable
  • Account reconciliations
  • Job cost and profitability reporting
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Assist CFO with internal controls and segregation of duties
  • Assist CFO with budgeting, forecasting and cash management
  • Assist with municipal business registrations and B&O tax return filing
  • Assist with asset tracking and property tax return filing
  • Bookkeeping for related entities as assigned
  • Backup for Payroll functions and CFO role

Qualifications:

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and possess strong problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong commitment to accuracy and error-free work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related field
  • CPA license is not required, but CPA candidates can fulfill their experience requirements by working at Allegheny Surveys

Compensation is negotiable and based on experience and qualifications.
